It is important to thoroughly research any material provided for the grant. The best shot of success comes from initially researching the prerequisites and knowing if you fulfill them. A good first step is to seek to understand the driving force for the Sigma Alpha Iota National Headquarters and their goals for the International Studies. If you meet the requirements, make sure you have a reasonable chance to receive the grant. Upon determining that you have a decent shot of actually being awarded the International Studies, then you should fill out an application.
A crucial aspect of working toward obtaining the grant is filling out the application correctly. Some forms are long, but you shouldn't underestimate how important it is that the forms are filled out accurately and without omission. Avoid mistakes that might make you be denied because of some minor point.
Once the application is sent off, figure out the timeframe regarding when the International Studies chooses a winner and actually dispenses the resources so you'll be aware of whether or not it is possible to rely on the grant to provide additional support for your financial needs and what assistance it will provide, as there may be restrictions on what expenses are covered by the International Studies. Increasingly, it is tough to handle all of your financial needs, and being awarded the International Studies as a supplement to your own resources can make things much easier. Even if you don't obtain the International Studies, continue looking, you can find different grants and you may find success elsewhere.
