Requirements: Applicant must demonstrate interest and involvement in the communication of science. Applicant must be nominated by the dean of an AMA-approved medical school. The following materials (original and one copy) should be submitted: letter of nomination from the Office of the Dean (addressed to J. Edward Hill, M.D., President, AMA Foundation), applicant's letter of application and CV, letter of recommendation from professional who is involved in some area of communications and is familiar with the student's work, and reprints and/or other materials prepared by the applicant to support the nomination.
