It will help if you check out any material provided for the contest. A maximized likelihood of success is a result of first understanding the qualifications and making sure you meet them. Prior to starting, identify the potential motivations of the Stephen T. Marchello Scholarship Foundation and what they hope to achieve with the Legacy of Hope. Once that is done, verify that there is any likelihood to receive the contest. Once you believe that you have a decent shot of going on to be a recipient of the Legacy of Hope, then you should put forth the effort to apply.
One critical part of working toward obtaining the contest is filling out the application correctly. If you don't end up getting the Legacy of Hope, keep at it, there are other contests and your persistence may be rewarded.
