It is important to check out any material provided for the grant. The best shot of achieving your goal will follow from finding out the requirements from the start and making sure you meet them. Prior to starting, identify the potential motivations of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and what they hope to achieve with the NSERC Grant. If you are qualified, you should determine if you have a reasonable chance of being awarded the grant.
