Requirements: An application form including a project proposal and two letters of support are required. Awards are for support of research in ornithology. Preference will be given to studies of bird movements based on banding, analysis of recoveries and returns of banded birds, or on economic ornithology. Recipients must be willing to report research results at either an oral or poster presentation at one of the Wilson Ornithological Society's annual meetings. Award is meant to provide research funds, not to provide general funding for attending college.
