A good place to start is to spend time looking into the latest information on the fellowship. The best shot of achieving your goal is a result of first understanding the qualifications and then determining if you qualify. Prior to starting, seek to understand the driving force for the Organization of American States (OAS) and their reason for offering the PRA Fellowship. If you meet the requirements, figure out if there is any likelihood of actually getting the fellowship. If you think that there is a good chance of going on to be one of the winners of the PRA Fellowship, then it is worth it to fill out an application.
An important part in the process of trying for the fellowship is filling out the application correctly. Applications can sometimes be time consuming and boring, but take the time to make sure that your work was done precisely and without omission. Pay careful attention so that you won't get passed over because of carelessness.
After filing, you should note when the PRA Fellowship chooses a winner and actually dispenses the resources in order to stay informed about if it is possible to count on the fellowship to assist with your financial needs and how it will help you out, as there may be restrictions on what expenses are covered by the PRA Fellowship. Increasingly, it is tough to be able to cover all of your financial needs, and making use of the PRA Fellowship to assist with your expenses can make things much easier. Even if you don't obtain the PRA Fellowship, try not to be upset, you can find different fellowships and your persistence may be rewarded.
