Requirements: Applicant must be in college or a college graduate, be a well-rounded, mature person who is interested in learning and living in a community, providing direct service to people, and have had at least one successful work experience. Education and/or experience in human service or a particular work area is helpful, but not required. Applicant must submit letter of interest and resume. Interview in person or by phone required, followed by three reference checks. Criminal background check will require applicant's permissiona and is a condition of volunteering.

It will help if you carefully examine the background of the internship. The best shot of success is a result of finding out the requirements from the start and making sure you meet them. At the outset identify the driving force for the Gould Farm and their goals for the Volunteer Position. Once that is done, make sure you have a decent shot of actually getting the internship. If you think that there is a good chance of going on to be a recipient of the Volunteer Position, then it is useful to use your time.
One critical aspect of working toward obtaining the internship is filling out the application correctly.
