ACS Bayer Scholars

The ACS Bayer Scholarships are Hispanic scholarships sponsored by American Chemical Society (ACS).

Award Information:

Amount of Scholarship: Maximum: $3000
Requirements: Applicant must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and a full-time student in a four-year program at an accredited school in or near one of the following locations: Berkeley, Calif.; West Haven, Conn.; Shawnee, Kans.; Fitchburg and Wilmington, Mass.; Kansas City, Miss.; Morristown and Ridgefield Park, N.J.; Tarrytown, N.Y.; Addyston, Ohio; Myerstown and Pittsburgh, Penn.; Goose Creek, S.C.; Baytown and Orange, Tex.; Middletown, Va.; or New Martinsville, W.Va.
Eligibility: College freshman, College sophomore, College junior

You should always thoroughly research the latest information on the scholarship. A maximized likelihood of achieving your goal is a result of first understanding the qualifications and making sure you meet them. A good first step is to figure out the potential motivations of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and their reason for offering the ACS/Bayer Scholars. If you meet the requirements, figure out if there is a reasonable chance to obtain the scholarship. Once you believe that there is a good chance of actually being awarded the ACS/Bayer Scholars, then you should fill out an application.

A vital part of working toward obtaining the scholarship is paying close attention to the application. Occasionally the process can be time consuming and tedious, but take the time to make sure that the forms are filled out accurately and in its entirety. It would be awful to be denied as the result of something that could have been avoided.

If you don't end up getting the ACS/Bayer Scholars, continue looking, there will be alternative scholarships and your persistence may be rewarded.
