It will help if you spend time looking into available information on the fellowship. A maximized likelihood of achieving your goal can be attained by first understanding the qualifications and making sure you meet them. At the outset try to recognize the particular aims of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and their goals for the Graduate Fellowship. If you are qualified, verify that there is a reasonable chance to receive the fellowship. After figuring out that you have the possibility of actually being one of the winners of the Graduate Fellowship, then you should put forth the effort to apply.

A vital detail in the process of trying for the fellowship is filling out the application correctly. Applications can sometimes be time consuming and tiresome, but it is absolutely critical that the forms are filled out precisely. Pay careful attention so that you won't miss out because of some minor point.

After the required forms have been mailed, it's important to know when the Graduate Fellowship confers the award and actually dispenses any funds so you'll be aware of whether or not you can rely on the fellowship to provide additional support for your financial needs and its personal usefulness, as there may be restrictions on how you can use the Graduate Fellowship. Recently it has become more burdensome to find ways to manage all of your financial needs, and making use of the Graduate Fellowship is often invaluable. Even if you don't obtain the Graduate Fellowship, try not to be upset, there are other fellowships and your persistence may be rewarded.
