Requirements: Award is for research in areas relevant to autism prevention, cure, and amelioration. Applicant must be nominated by an ASA member.

It is important to thoroughly research any material provided for the scholarship. The best shot of obtaining money comes from first understanding the qualifications and knowing if you fulfill them. Prior to starting, be aware of the driving force for the Autism Society of America and what they hope to achieve with the Collins Scholarship. Once that is done, figure out if there is a decent shot to obtain the scholarship. Once you believe that you have a decent shot of going on to be awarded the Collins Scholarship, then it is useful to put forth the effort to apply.

A crucial detail of working toward obtaining the scholarship is filling out the application correctly. Occasionally the process can be time consuming, but it is absolutely critical that the forms are filled out precisely and in its entirety.
