It will help if you spend time looking into available information on the internship. A maximized likelihood of success is a result of finding out the requirements from the start and knowing if you fulfill them. At the outset be aware of the driving force for the Student Conservation Association, Inc. (SCA) and their reason for offering the Diversity Internship. Once that is done, you should determine if you have a decent shot to receive the internship. Upon determining that you have the possibility of actually being awarded the Diversity Internship, then it is worth it to use your time.

A vital aspect of applying for the internship is properly completing the forms. Some forms are drawn-out and tedious, but it is absolutely critical that you fill out the application accurately and completely. Use caution to insure that you will not get passed over on a technicality.

After filing, you should note when the Diversity Internship confers the award and actually dispenses the money in order to know whether or not it is possible to rely on the internship to provide additional support for your financial needs and what assistance it will provide, as there may be restrictions in what can be paid with the Diversity Internship. Recently it has become more burdensome to find ways to cover the increasing costs of education, and having the additional resources of the Diversity Internship to defray some of the costs is often invaluable. If you are not fortunate to receive the Diversity Internship, continue looking, there are other internships that you can hopefully get.
