It will help if you carefully examine the background of the fellowship. The best shot of achieving your goal can be attained by finding out the requirements from the start and making sure you meet them. Before you even begin, figure out the reason for involvement of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and their goals for the Ellen H. Richards Fellowship. Once that is done, verify that you have a decent shot to receive the fellowship. After figuring out that there is a good chance of actually being a recipient of the Ellen H. Richards Fellowship, then it is worth it to use your time.

A vital part in the process of trying for the fellowship is properly completing the forms. Some forms are time consuming and tedious, but take the time to make sure that your work was done precisely and in its entirety. You don't want to lose out because of carelessness.

After the required forms have been mailed, you should note when the Ellen H. Richards Fellowship makes payment of the money so you'll be aware of whether or not you can rely on the fellowship to help meet the expenses associated with school and its personal usefulness, as there may be restrictions on what expenses are covered by the Ellen H. Richards Fellowship. You might find it challenging to be able to manage all of your financial needs, and getting the Ellen H. Richards Fellowship as a supplement to your own resources can make things much easier. If you don't end up getting the Ellen H. Richards Fellowship, keep at it, there will be alternative fellowships that you can hopefully get.
