One may find it helpful to spend time looking into available information on the contest. Getting the greatest odds of success will follow from initially researching the prerequisites and knowing if you fulfill them. At the outset figure out the reason for involvement of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and their reason for offering the Extension 2000 Award. If you meet the requirements, make sure there is a decent shot to obtain the contest. If you think that there is a good chance of going on to be a recipient of the Extension 2000 Award, then you should fill out an application.
