Gene Carte Student Paper Competition

The Gene Carte Student Paper Competition is a Contest sponsored by American Society of Criminology.

Amount of Contest: Minimum: $200, Average: $300, Maximum: $500
Application Deadline: 15-Apr
Requirements: Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an academic program. Papers must be conceptual or empirical and must be directly related to criminology. Papers must be typed or printed, double-spaced on 8-1/2 by 10 inch paper, and no longer than 7,500 words. The Criminology format of organizing text, citations, and references should be used. The author's name, department, and advisors (optional) must appear on the title page only. The second page should be a 100-word abstract. Eight copies of the manuscript and a letter indicating enrollment and cosigned by the dean, department chair, or program director must be submitted. First-place award includes travel to the ASC annual meeting.
