Amount of Scholarship: Minimum: $1000, Average: $2000, Maximum: $5000

Requirements: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and have a minimum 3.7 GPA and a minimum 1300 SAT I score with written results prior to application. Selection is based upon outstanding academic achievement or excellence in the visual/performing arts field. SAT I scores are not considered in visual/performing arts categories. Applicant must pursue full-time study at an accredited U.S. institution or participate in an approved foreign study program. Financial need is not considered. Send self-addressed, stamped envelope with application request.

You should always investigate available information on the scholarship. Your best chance of obtaining money comes from initially researching the prerequisites and making sure you meet them. Prior to starting, seek to understand the particular aims of the National Alliance for Excellence, Inc. and their goals for the Honored Scholars and Artists Program. After making sure you satisfy the prerequisites, figure out if there is a decent shot to obtain the scholarship. After figuring out that you have the possibility that you can be awarded the Honored Scholars and Artists Program, then it is worth it to put forth the effort to apply.

An important detail of working toward obtaining the scholarship is filling out the application correctly.
