One may find it helpful to investigate any material provided for the fellowship. Your best chance of achieving your goal comes from finding out the requirements from the start and then determining if you qualify. A good first step is to figure out the particular aims of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Educational Foundation and their reason for offering the International Fellowship. Once that is done, you should determine if there is the possibility to receive the fellowship. After figuring out that you have a decent shot that you can be a recipient of the International Fellowship, then it is worth it to put forth the effort to apply.

An important aspect of applying for the fellowship is filling out the application correctly. Occasionally the process can be long and laborious, but you shouldn't underestimate how important it is that your work was done accurately. Avoid mistakes that might make you be bumped as the result of something that could have been avoided.

Once the application is sent off, you should note when the International Fellowship chooses a winner and actually dispenses the money so that you can know if it is possible to count on the fellowship to provide additional support for any bills associated with your education and its personal usefulness, since there might be constraints on what bills you can pay with the International Fellowship. Recently it has become more burdensome to manage all of your financial needs, and having the additional resources of the International Fellowship can make things much easier. If you don't end up getting the International Fellowship, keep at it, you might find new fellowships and you may find success elsewhere.
