A good place to start is to spend time looking into the background of the scholarship. Getting the greatest odds of success is a result of finding out the requirements from the start and then determining if you qualify. At the outset be aware of the driving force for the New Jersey Osteopathic Education Foundation and their reason for offering the NJOEF Scholarship. Once that is done, verify that there is a reasonable chance of actually getting the scholarship. If you think that you have a decent shot that you can be awarded the NJOEF Scholarship, then it is worth it to use your time.

A vital detail of applying for the scholarship is paying close attention to the application. Occasionally the process can be long and boring, but you shouldn't underestimate how important it is that you fill out the application correctly and completely. Use caution to insure that you will not be denied as the result of something that could have been avoided.

Once the application is sent off, it's important to know when the NJOEF Scholarship confers the award and actually dispenses the resources in order to stay informed about if you can rely on the scholarship to help meet the expenses associated with school and its personal usefulness, as there may be restrictions on what expenses are covered by the NJOEF Scholarship. Increasingly, it is tough to handle the expenses associated with school, and having the additional resources of the NJOEF Scholarship to defray some of the costs can be a huge help. If you are not fortunate to receive the NJOEF Scholarship, continue looking, there will be alternative scholarships that you can hopefully get.
