Requirements: Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 30 (combined SAT I score of 1320. Applicant must have demonstrated leadership and service. Faculty interview required.

You should always search for any material provided for the scholarship. The best shot of achieving your goal is a result of initially researching the prerequisites and then determining if you qualify. Prior to starting, identify the driving force for the College of St. Benedict and their reason for offering the Regents'/Trustees' Scholarship. If you meet the requirements, you should determine if there is a reasonable chance to receive the scholarship. After figuring out that there is a good chance that you can be a recipient of the Regents'/Trustees' Scholarship, then you should fill out an application.

An important detail of working toward obtaining the scholarship is filling out the application correctly. Some forms are time consuming, but it is absolutely critical that you fill out the application accurately and in its entirety. It would be awful to be denied as the result of something that could have been avoided.

After the required forms have been mailed, you should note when the Regents'/Trustees' Scholarship chooses a winner and makes payment of the money so you'll be aware of whether or not it is possible to count on the scholarship to assist with the expenses associated with school and what assistance it will provide, as there may be restrictions in what can be paid with the Regents'/Trustees' Scholarship. Recently it has become more burdensome to be able to take care of the expenses associated with school, and being awarded the Regents'/Trustees' Scholarship as a supplement to your own resources can provide significant support. If you don't end up getting the Regents'/Trustees' Scholarship, don't give up, there will be alternative scholarships and you may find success elsewhere.
