Toward Excellence, Access, & Success (TEXAS) Grant

The Toward Excellence, Access, & Success (TEXAS) Grant is a Grant sponsored by Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Award Information:

Amount of Grant: the lesser of the students need or tuition and required fees (based on state average)
Requirements: Applicant must be a Texas resident with financial need who is a graduate of a public or accredited Texas high school and completed the Recommended High School Curriculum. Applicant must be enrolled at least three-quarters-time in an undergraduate degree or certificate program at a Texas college or university, and must never have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving a controlled substance. Applicant must have earned an associate's degree from a Texas college. Applicant's EFC cannot exceed $4,000 in order to qualify.
Eligibility: College freshman, College sophomore, College junior, College senior

You should always investigate any material provided for the grant. The best shot of obtaining money comes from first understanding the qualifications and then determining if you qualify. At the outset identify the reason for involvement of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and their reason for offering the Toward Excellence, Access, & Success (TEXAS) Grant.
